Yeah there's an app for that!! I just had to find it. now I can blog from my phone!!! We won our last soccer game8-0. Kids were super excited!! Ok so we had 2 more kids on our team since all the other team didn't show. It was up to the other coach to play 6or 8. Since it was the last game and they would have had to forfeit,he just let them play that way. DQ afterwards! Yum!!

Fish is my new favorite food.... In theory. 90 cal 3 grams if fat and 16 grams of protein. Now if I can just get it down without pukeing. I made it through the baking Process and yeah it probably took me a full 30 min to get it down. Last two bites I smothered in mustard. That got it down. Now I must admit I was starving before I fixed the fish and now totaly just want to get out of the kitchen and not hungry at all. Too busy trying to keep it down. Also had a side of mixed veggies. now if anyone has any fish recipes that can get rid of fish taste and the texture I'm all ears. No wonder people fry them, but defeats the purpose right. Anyways I had Gordan's fishermans frozen butter garlic kind. If you've had it tell me your thoughts on it. Haha, Bill just walked out here gagging cause of the smell and was told to never cook that while he's around. Anyway if you call me and I don't pick up the phone I may be hovering over the toilet. Bill is also trying to lose weight, but he's practaly starving himself. Well better go Fish isn't the only thing stinkin around here.
Zeke had his first of many surgeries yesterday. The were able to separate two fingers on both hands and one toe on his right foot. Will have to release them in other surgeries due to the amount of skin grafts. We are all hoping he comes home today. Please pray for a speedy recovery and strength for Dwight and Melissa.
Other news: Bill turned 40 yesterday. Wanted to go boating, but didn't go as planned. Spent all day trying to find trailer parts. We did enjoy a nice steak dinner and I let him pick out what he wanted to watch on TV. Get this we watched an old Clint Eastwood western. Really?????? It turned out to be pretty good. I guess this makes us officially old by making that statement. I do believe it's the first time I've seen one all the way through. I didn't even nod off. I now have a favorite quote about Kansas. Kansas has sunshine, sunflowers and sons of $&@%#^s. Too funny.

A quick version of what we did this week. Monday we went to the zoo. It was kinda chilly, but felt really good. The zoo was soooooooooo crowded being a holiday that it was kinda crazy. Bought a hand print art piece that was super expensive and turned out really dorky. But hey it's priceless right?
Tuesday we went to the lake to fix our trailer. It took longer then we expected, but it is now done and safe again. We also rescued an idiot who went out without checking to see if his boat ran.  Long storey short after him not helping to make sure our boats didn't collide,me doing all the work,Bill getting fed up,finally sling shot him up to the ramp. Adios. I now feel like I've been run over by a truck. I'm sure the whole scene was hilarious cause I was all over our boat and some of the time sprawled out hanging on to his and our boat for life. Wish we could have done some real boating that day,but the water was super rough and even white capping. So needless to say this year has been a terrible boating year for us. Today just trying to catch up on house cleaning.
Kevin news: He's starting to crawl backwards. Super cute.

Racing the cheetah. Yeah she made it 4 feet before the electronic cheetah beat her.
Below are some of the faces  Kevin made throughout the day. He seemed to really enjoy his first trip to the zoo.

Kevin's first time boating will definitely be unforgettable. We waited to pick Ashley up before we went. Not a cloud in the sky. If you haven't been to Bloomington in awhile the roads are tree covered and windey.  Very beautiful drive, however we did not see that a storm was moving in. Matter of fact it wasn't till we got the boat in the water did we notice. We almost right then put it back on, but we decided since we had come all this way surely we could at least get a lap in. We were flying out as everyone else was gunning it to the boat ramp. We get out just a bit and I spotted lightning so we raced to the ramp too.  Bill took the kids to the truck and I waited by the  docked boat, all of a sudden the storm was on us and it was bad!!!!!!!!! It felt like I was being pelted by BB's and lightning everywhere. Bill had the truck backed down so I ran to the truck while he ran to the boat. It was then that I noticed that one of the bunks on the trailer was floating. OH NO!!!! This is bad.  Tried to push it on cause being held still on one end, hoping to just get the boat on. It wouldn't go on the right way. Bill witnessed what was going on from the dock and came running back over. At some point I told a gentleman who was having trouble with getting his boat on, our predicament. So he helped us. THANK GOD. He and Bill put ratchet straps on it to hold it in place, then discovered the other major bunk was loose too. You can only imagine what was going on in my head at least. Ok besides the obvious I was also praying that the guys would not be struck by lightning. Also grateful for Bill having four ratchet straps in the truck. On a day to day basis, the amount of tools in our vehicles drives me crazy, But thank goodness we had them that day. Anyway we got the boat on, helped the other guy with his boat, and carefully drove home. I should add that after all this craziness when we pulled out the boat  the storm started slowing down. By the time we left the sun was shining and we saw the prettiest rainbow. As Bill said, we paid $25 at the gate to torture ourselves. We were soaking wet and freezing. It was a long nerve racking drive home. Bill has since put some lag screws in the bunks to get us by and is going to make new bunks and fix the trailer next time we go out. Keep your fingers crossed. I say lets buy a new trailer, but apparently you can buy a 4 wheeler for the same price. This look says it all. She Did NOT want to go and was a nervous wreck.
The next day was drastically less exciting thank goodness. Ashley had a cavity lasered off, then we
took her out for ice cream. Evidently Kevin knows the old saying We all scream for ice cream, cause he screamed until we gave him some too. Then we took her to the Commons and she braved the playground.
On another note Check out my newest scrapbook project. It's an old window. You can't see the first pane well but it has The Pledge of Allegiance. Working on a second window now.Post later. I was really happy how it turned out.

I am drooling!!!! And no I'm not teething. I've come across a postcard telling about a scrapbook convention coming to Cincinnati in October. I'm seriously thinking of going. I've already checked out all the classes and want to go to 90% of them. Plus to be able to buy new products!!!!! Doesn't Hobby Lobby know I already have everything I want from them. They never have anything new, I keep checking though. Anyway anyone want to come with me?? Mom, Amanda....???? I can almost hear you groan. LOL Amanda, you have to admit we had some good times, I still laugh about one day in particular!!! Any way, I know I'd have to go by myself, but I'm sure i'll get lost in my own little world. Maybe have to wear one of Kevin's bibs, but I'm sure there will be other bib wearers too. Oct 13-14 are the days I can go, call me if you want to go...... Anybody.......

Took the boat to a different lake. Bill got her running, but couldn't get the prop to go up. Finally we got it to stay up with a wench. They unfortunately can't get to it for two weeks. Bummer, but better in the driveway then out in the water. Things happen for a reason.

Tuesday, July 26, 2011

Today didn't go quite as planned, the boat wouldn't start but Bill worked all day on it. And was Finally able to wake the whole neighborhood up. I'm so glad he knows how to work on these things!!!!!!!!!!!!!

summer break

chicks dig me.  It's been awhile since I've blogged. We've had a really busy summer and had about 1,000 pictures to go through. Here's the quick version for I'm holding Kevin.
A big messy eater. He sure loves his food.
Kevin's first trip to the N.V. fair
 Redecorated.... I love this statue
Proof my house can be clean... Rearranged to make room for an elliptical

A quick spur of the moment trip to go see Amanda. We had a blast catchin up and cookin in the kitchen. It was good seeing them, the girls talked and played the entire time.

How about tomorrow Mom, thats what I said when Mom asked me when I might be able to go see them. I'm sooooo glad we did.
A week later we went to see Dwight and Melissa. We went to a nice fair where there were lots of exotic animals to see and feed. I love this picture of Kevin grabbing for the corn dog.

Of course we had to do a pony ride

PIG Races. We laughed till we cried. too cute and so squeely.

 Such cuties
The week went by too fast
On the way back we stopped at the Dells to eat, play a little and of coures get CHEESE!!!!
We are now back home for awhile. My bed has never felt so good.

Sunday, July 3, 2011

Today I bought V8 V Fusion energy drink. Peach mango. It is very tasty for 50 cal with80 mg caffeine.(green tea) oh yeah also 1 serving fruit and vegetables. Defenatly will get some more, ESP for the weekend. People look at ya funny when your on your 10th cup of coffee.
Last Sunday evening Mom called me and asked to think about when I could maybe go down to see Amanda. I said how about tomorrow. She wasn't too sure about that but after thinking it over for awhile and a little arm twisting she said OK. Who says I'm not spontaneous. Ashley was at Mamaw's and Kevin was with Jennifer. Packed everything and got a good nights rest. We didn't tell Ashley we were going. she had no clue. She thought we were going to home depot for paint.
We told her we were going to a special home depot and that it was going to be a long drive. We made a lot of slip ups and also kept mentioning home depot to throw her off. It
Wasn't till Tennesee before she finally figured it out. It was so funny.Kevin did fantastic most of the trip and Ashley tended to him when he was upset. She was a huge help.
I have to brag about Wendy's new fruit chicken salad. It is a healthy must try. I could eat it every meal. The only downside to Wendy's is there are no diaper changing stations. Wendy must have been potty trained. Anyway funny poo story. Everyone got a show as Mom and I are changing Kevin in the parking lot. I started cleaning him in the vehicle but he was so dirty I had to hold him up by the armpits while mom cleaned him all up. Ashley hid,she just knew I was going to get peed on or mom pooed on. I'm sure we were quite the sight.
Leia also didn't know we were coming. She found out when Amanda told the guard that we were behind her. They had to meet us at the gateLeia asked Amanda who she waved at and then wondered why we were following them. We had a really god time, mostly stayed in their house catching up and cooking up a storm. Amanda can grill up some awesome steak. I can't wait to try out some of her tricks. The kids played the whole time. The week went by too fast. I'll post some pictures later. So glad we went, my cheeks still hurt from all the laughing.

a week in review

All week I've been getting things ready for Mom's garage sale. Of course I had to do this in between Kevin's minuscule naps. He's had tummy troubles and has cried a lot of the week. Poor guy. On Wed. we went to Indy with some friends and didn't get home till midnight. We shopped till we dropped. Kevin is rapidly growing out of cloths. They don't get much ware before it's time to go up a size.  We found tons of adorable clothes at really good prices. Kevin's going for the cool surfer look this summer.
Funny story. We were chit chatting with our friends in the Toys R Us parking lot and this is what we witnessed. Firetrucks with alarms blaring pulled into the gas station across the street. All of a sudden we see two people running super fast. I assumed after the cart that I thought was being rolled away by the wind. NOPE. The one guy jumped in a van and then threw it in reverse nearly running over the second guy. The 2nd guy jumps in the van and they take off leaving the cart full of toys. Bill took the cart into the store and they confirmed that the two were stealing it. Unbeknownst to the firemen they  scared two thieves. Who knew Lego's were   in  such top demand in the black market. It was quite the sight to see.
We were car window shopping too. Bill wants to buy a new car that gets good gas mileage. Says that it'll pay for itself with the amount of gas we'll save VS the truck. KIA, Hyundai and Mitsubishi make some good looking vehicles these days. Not sure if really wanting a foreign car myself, but at least I know it was made here in the US. Still on the fence about all this ,but it sure was fun looking.
Mom's garage sale actually is going really well. Have I ever told you that I HATE garage sales. But the extra money sure will come in handy. I'm so glad mom had it and took care of things. People drive me crazy when they ask you to go down on price when they are already practically being given away. I need to find the garage sales that are like mine where things are practically new or in super good shape. All I ever find is junk. Granted I probably am forced to go just a few times a year:) I guess if I went more I'd hit a few good ones. On the other hand I've got enough stuff around here and don't need one more thing. I could start my own Kelly Mart. haha

Happy Father's day to all the Dad's out there.  Hope you have a great weekend!!!!!!!!!

Friday, June 10, 2011

Last night was so nice we decided to have a cookout. We roasted hotdogs and s'mores. All this happened about 10pm. Why not. Brought back memories of the river. Wish I had pictures but it was too dark. The stars were bright and shiny. It was a perfect night.

SOLD!  Hopefully Friday this will be at it's new house.

My little sleeping monkey. OOHHOOHH AHHAHHH
A few pictures of field day. This was the first year I didn't go. It was way too hot and a certain little guy didn't want any part of it. Bill had a great time though and took about 200 photos for me to see.
Rocket drawing and pass the water in a cup full of holes
Kevin's first taste of baby food. Yummy. I've decided to make his baby food and am really excited about it. Ashley loves to help me,so it makes it even more enjoyable to make. She has been such a huge help with him and loves him so very much. What a lucky little boy.
What's my little guy staring at?
When I was pregnant Ashley and Mom made this for him. He loves to look at it and smile while I'm changing him. I'm so glad we hung it there.
Other news.... today Bill bought me an elliptical so I can work out at home. I am super excited about it. I've wanted one for a long time. It was my favorite at the gym. It's supposed to be gym quality, lifetime warrenty and 60 day return policy.  I can't wait till it gets here. Up to 21 days to get delivered though. It's going in my living room,so it won't be out of sight out of mind.
In the meantime we are going to rearrange my living room to make space for it.

 Two cool kids

For some reason I've been having trouble with this blog. I was lucky to get these two pictures loaded. It's too nice of a day to wait to upload pictures. I'll try later. Some new news is Kevin is eating babyfood. Ashley and I made sweet potato puree a few weeks ago. He loves it. He's still eating like he's never eaten before. We switched formula yesterday to Soy and he has been much happier with it. He's been getting a bit cranky lately and we are hoping the Soy formula is the answer. Bill and Ashley put together a bouncer with toys all around it. He loves it. He spent a lot of time in there checking everything out. We had to put a pillow under his feet so he could reach"the bottom" and bounce.  I hope I can add these fun pictures later.

Look at me sittin in my bumbo at 2months old.  Kevin is super strong  and has been holding his head for a long time now,so I decided to see if he could hold himself up in it. He liked it for all of 5 min. He'd rater be held.
Check out my new cool hat and shirt Shirt has a motorcycle on it and the hat says Biker Baby
 I've got to wear shades
