Kevin's first time boating will definitely be unforgettable. We waited to pick Ashley up before we went. Not a cloud in the sky. If you haven't been to Bloomington in awhile the roads are tree covered and windey.  Very beautiful drive, however we did not see that a storm was moving in. Matter of fact it wasn't till we got the boat in the water did we notice. We almost right then put it back on, but we decided since we had come all this way surely we could at least get a lap in. We were flying out as everyone else was gunning it to the boat ramp. We get out just a bit and I spotted lightning so we raced to the ramp too.  Bill took the kids to the truck and I waited by the  docked boat, all of a sudden the storm was on us and it was bad!!!!!!!!! It felt like I was being pelted by BB's and lightning everywhere. Bill had the truck backed down so I ran to the truck while he ran to the boat. It was then that I noticed that one of the bunks on the trailer was floating. OH NO!!!! This is bad.  Tried to push it on cause being held still on one end, hoping to just get the boat on. It wouldn't go on the right way. Bill witnessed what was going on from the dock and came running back over. At some point I told a gentleman who was having trouble with getting his boat on, our predicament. So he helped us. THANK GOD. He and Bill put ratchet straps on it to hold it in place, then discovered the other major bunk was loose too. You can only imagine what was going on in my head at least. Ok besides the obvious I was also praying that the guys would not be struck by lightning. Also grateful for Bill having four ratchet straps in the truck. On a day to day basis, the amount of tools in our vehicles drives me crazy, But thank goodness we had them that day. Anyway we got the boat on, helped the other guy with his boat, and carefully drove home. I should add that after all this craziness when we pulled out the boat  the storm started slowing down. By the time we left the sun was shining and we saw the prettiest rainbow. As Bill said, we paid $25 at the gate to torture ourselves. We were soaking wet and freezing. It was a long nerve racking drive home. Bill has since put some lag screws in the bunks to get us by and is going to make new bunks and fix the trailer next time we go out. Keep your fingers crossed. I say lets buy a new trailer, but apparently you can buy a 4 wheeler for the same price. This look says it all. She Did NOT want to go and was a nervous wreck.
The next day was drastically less exciting thank goodness. Ashley had a cavity lasered off, then we
took her out for ice cream. Evidently Kevin knows the old saying We all scream for ice cream, cause he screamed until we gave him some too. Then we took her to the Commons and she braved the playground.
On another note Check out my newest scrapbook project. It's an old window. You can't see the first pane well but it has The Pledge of Allegiance. Working on a second window now.Post later. I was really happy how it turned out.

I am drooling!!!! And no I'm not teething. I've come across a postcard telling about a scrapbook convention coming to Cincinnati in October. I'm seriously thinking of going. I've already checked out all the classes and want to go to 90% of them. Plus to be able to buy new products!!!!! Doesn't Hobby Lobby know I already have everything I want from them. They never have anything new, I keep checking though. Anyway anyone want to come with me?? Mom, Amanda....???? I can almost hear you groan. LOL Amanda, you have to admit we had some good times, I still laugh about one day in particular!!! Any way, I know I'd have to go by myself, but I'm sure i'll get lost in my own little world. Maybe have to wear one of Kevin's bibs, but I'm sure there will be other bib wearers too. Oct 13-14 are the days I can go, call me if you want to go...... Anybody.......
